Parkview Enrollment Shows Positive Signs

Parkview made very positive progress this year by decreasing the gap in open enrollment by 29 students. During the 2016-17 school year Parkview had 134 students open-enrolled out and 54 open enrolled into the District. The number of students open enrolled into the District is the second highest amount since 2008.

The graph below shows the open enrollment figures over the last nine years and the gap between open enrollment in and out narrowing.

The number of students open enrolled out of the District dropped by 14 students this year while the number open enrolled into the District grew by 15 students.

The projection for 2017-18 is an additional 12 student reduction in the open enrollment gap. The projection for 2018-19 is an additional 8 student reduction in the open enrollment gap, and for 2019-20 an additional 9 student reduction in the open enrollment gap.

This is very good news!

Annually, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction rates every public school district in the State. The rating is based on four criteria; academic achievement, academic growth, closing the achievement gaps and having students on-track for college or career.

Parkview scored in the second highest category during the 2015-2016 academic year.

Parkview was one of only four total school districts in Rock County to be rated at the Exceeds Expectations level.
