Several scholarships are available to high school seniors. Each have a variety of criteria and requirements that students must meet. Students must apply for all scholarships, to be eligible.

- Applying to your chosen colleges no later than December 1st is the very best opportunity for grants, scholarships and financial aid packages. Once accepted, apply for all college based scholarships for which you qualify. Visit your college website under 'Financial Aid.'
- Special Note: After completing online college applications, students must notify Ms. Kempthorne (via email) as to where official transcripts and ACT scores need to be sent, as this completes the application process.
- Students are responsible for deadlines and materials sent to scholarship agencies.
- If students require letters of recommendation, transcripts, or other documentation from others, they should request these documents a minimum of two weeks before the deadline.
- Letters of recommendation may be used for many scholarships, keep an electronic file of these letters for future use.

Healthcare Leaders Scholarship
The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Students must be at least 17 years of age and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section.
Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected.

Varsity Tutors Scholarship
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship
The EFW scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who plan to study engineering at a four-year ABET accredited program leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering and shall intend to enter the profession of engineering upon graduation. Each applicant will be considered for five different scholarships, with a total award amount of $22,000. Wisconsin High School Oratorical Scholarship Program
The American Legion Oratorical Scholarship program begins with a contest at the local level, and the opportunity to compete at the county and district levels takes place in January. Twelve district winners compete for the regional and state titles at Ripon College in February. The state winner represents Wisconsin at the national contest in April. Fountainhead Essay Contest
Contest is open to students who are in 11th or 12th grade who have read Ayn Rand’s “Fountainhead.” Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to “Fountainhead.” There is no citizenship requirement to participate. The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation seeks to make a college degree affordable for Wisconsin high school students who participate as players or managers in their school’s basketball program. The Recovery Village Scholarship
A $1,000 award will be given to a student pursuing a health-related degree program. Areas of study that will be considered include, but are not limited to, counseling, social work, emergency medicine, pre-med, nursing, psychology (with a focus on addiction counseling or a substance-abuse related field). Applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words describing why they are passionate about health care, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health. Essays can draw from personal or professional experience.

Wisconsin National Guard Tuition Grant
Applicants must be Wisconsin National Guard enlisted members and warrant officers in good standing who do not have a bachelor's degree. Recipients may use the grant at any campus of the University of Wisconsin System, a public institution of higher education under the Minnesota-Wisconsin student reciprocity agreement or an accredited institution of higher education in Wisconsin.
